Project:
Various ongoing projects at JUSC

Description:
The JUSC offers internships to students from our member institutions, of any academic major. An internship will allow a student to participate in essential research, analysis and dissemination. Student internship at the JUSC will involve the student with a professional learning experience through active participation in the work world. By learning directly in a professional environment the student will be able to apply their classroom theoretical learning to everyday situations in the workplace. This applied learning will help to connect the student to real life opportunities, activities and challenges in the working world.

Internship Duration:
One semester.

Students Required:
Up to 6 per semester.

Student Role:
Students are needed to conduct research, analysis and assist in the preparation of studies and reports published by the JUSC. Special projects may develop during the course of the semester that will allow students to work in local government offices or other public agencies and business/civic organizations.

Student Qualifications:
Students must be computer literate; have excellent research, written and verbal communication skills.

Oversight:
The JUSC will serve as the entity monitoring student activity.

Credits/Hours:
Varies by Institution.

Student Stipend:
Students will be eligible for a stipend after a finished product is delivered and after all requirements are met from their sponsoring institution.
